Fire on Country Manor Drive 7-22-24 (Santa Rosa Fire Department)
A vehicle and a garage caught fire in west Santa Rosa yesterday afternoon. Just before 3 PM, a dark black column of smoke could be seen from behind the Raley’s shopping center. Firefighters quickly arrived at a one-story home on Country Manor Drive to find a van and the garage engulfed in flames. An aggressive fire attack along with the fire resistive construction of the garage helped firefighters get the blaze under control in about 20 minutes without it spreading inside the main house. One resident, though, had to be taken to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation and minor burns in their attempt to extinguish the fire.
