Several cooling centers are opening their doors to help local residents beat the heat. Sonoma and Napa County have both opened public cooling centers amid the ongoing heat wave.

- Geyserville Park and Ride, Tuesday through Saturday (possibly Sunday), noon-8 p.m., located on Geyser Road, just north of Highway 128, Geyserville.
- Russian River Senior Center, Tuesday through Saturday (possibly Sunday), noon-8 p.m., located at 15010 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville.
- El Verano Elementary School Gym, Tuesday through Saturday (possibly Sunday), noon-8 p.m., located at 18606 Riverside Drive.

Healdsburg
- Healdsburg Senior Center, Tuesday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., located at 133 Matheson St.
Petaluma
- COTS Mary Isaak Center, Tuesday through Thursday, 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. located at 900 Hopper St.
Rohnert Park
- Rohnert Park Community Center, Tuesday through Wednesday and Friday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. located at 5401 Snyder Lane.
Santa Rosa
- Finley Community Center, Tuesday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. located at 2060 W. College Ave.
- Person Senior Wing – Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., located at 2060 W. College Ave.
- Ridgway Swim Center, Monday- Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., located at 455 Ridgway Ave.
