New Solar Panels at Sonoma County Airport (County of Sonoma and Forefront Power)

The Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport is being sued over a new jet fuel tank being built. Press Democrat reports that groundwork has begun for the tank which will sit near a busy taxiway and aircraft parking area. As that’s being done, Sonoma Jet Center, a private aviation services business and one of the airport’s operations partners, is suing to stop its construction claiming safety standards are being ignored with the tank’s placement. The suit also claimed that the Sonoma County Airport is bypassing state environmental review requirements. Meanwhile, the airport’s officials defended the project and also said that the Sonoma Jet Center has no standing.
