The Hidden Forest Nursery near Sebastopol may be up for sale soon. The Press Democrat reports that the owner and landscape contractor, Mike Boss, is considering selling the 7-and-a-half acre property in Hessel. Boss, who bought the property in 2017, says he didn’t anticipate that wildfires, a prolonged drought and a global pandemic would be working against him. He hopes if he does sell it, that a plant loving buyer will purchase it and keep the forest garden intact. The Hidden Forest Nursery was started back in 1965 by Stewart and Audrey Barber who turned part of an old cattle ranch into the Azalea Farm and Garden and built themselves a house on the site. It was later renamed Sonoma Horticultural Nursery when the late Polo De Lorenzo and his life partner, Warren Smith, took over in 1978.
