A dead body was found in a field in Ukiah. On Tuesday night, deputies were called to the area of North State Street at the North Highway 101 on-ramp in Ukiah. There was an unidentified male body found in a field about 100 yards east of the on-ramp. Based on the items found nearby, deputies determined that the man was homeless. Due to the body’s decomposition, deputies could not positively identify the man and the investigation is ongoing to determine his cause of death, identity, and notification of next of kin.
