Mental health workers at Kaiser Permanente walked the picket lines yesterday in Santa Rosa, asking for improvements to health care for patients. Some of the demands include improving the wait times for patients between their initial appointments and follow-up visits. They also demand more staff to treat the growing number of patients seeking mental health services. The strike comes after five months of negotiations between the National Union of Healthcare Workers and Kaiser officials came to a halt. Strikers will return to the Santa Rosa campus on Friday.
