Some community members are raising concerns over a proposed project to build low-income housing and provide homeless services. About 50 people yesterday attended a meeting in Santa Rosa about plans to build 140 apartments and a more than 50-family shelter in the downtown Saint Rose Historic District. Perhaps the strongest push back voiced was about tearing down historic homes to make way for new construction. Others expressed strong support for the project that still has months of review ahead before a final decision is made.
