A new survey says nearly half of Americans are losing sleep because of work-related stress or issues. Bill Driscoll from Accountemps says the fatigue can have significant negative impacts.
Here in California, most people said they’re losing sleep, but not very often. Only 18-percent said they’re staying awake at night very often. In San Diego, 49-percent of those surveyed said when they’re staying up at night, they’re stressing about a business problem, and 23-percent of people said strained coworker relations keep them awake. Twenty-three-percent of residents surveyed in San Francisco said they lose sleep over the fear of losing their job. Driscoll says one of the easiest ways to preserve work-life balance is to keep the cell phone muted and far away from where you sleep.
